I need to keep up with this

Ooooppps, its been a little while since I've written. I guess I say that all too often but keeping up a blog is something I need to get use to still. With finals coming up i have THREE final studio art projects. jeeeeeeeeez its so stressful, especially because all the projects are so open.

So I'll go through everything that I'm working on...

3-D Process: The project has to be a sculpture or 3-D something that relates to my major. So what I'm working on is a cheap 35 mm camera, I started out melting it and distorting it a bit. Then I had the idea to melt crayon onto it. It started to reallly come together and I've become addicted to working on it because its just so fun to create. I also put a roll of film in the back of the camera and I'm going to weave wire into it to make it standup up and wrap around. Then I'm going to drip crayon onto the film as well.

Drawing: I have 4 wood panels and cut up newspaper and glued then down with a thin layer of glue on top. I plan on drawing old cameras onto tracing paper and putting it over the newspaper and creating a different scene on each panel by drawing camera parts.

Visual Concepts: The project I plan to do is relatively extreme. The topic is war. And I am going to take photographs at night. I will have a burning american flag in three different photographs. I will also include small plastic army men in each photograph. They will be very intense and controversial. I am nervous to actually do it but I know I have to. Im anxious to see how they will turn out.
